PCA North Celebrates Reid Thornberry on Winter Signing Day Prosper, TX – February 5, 2025

Prestonwood Christian Academy North proudly celebrated a major milestone in the life of one of its student-athletes during Winter Signing Day. Senior Reid Thornberry signed his National Letter of Intent to play collegiate football at East Texas A&M University, where he will continue his academic and athletic journey as a tight end.

Reid has been an integral part of the PCA North Athletics program since the sixth grade, and his commitment, discipline, and leadership have left a lasting impact on the football team. His senior year was one of outstanding achievement, earning him recognition on both sides of the ball. Reid was named TAPPS Division II District II First Team Offense and First Team Defense and was honored as the District’s Most Valuable Player. At the state level, he was named TAPPS Division II First Team All-State Tight End and First Team All-State Defensive Lineman.

“We are incredibly proud of Reid and the legacy he leaves behind at PCA North,” said PCA North Athletic Director, Shawn Purcell. “His dedication to excellence both on and off the field reflects the heart of a true Lion, and we are excited to watch him continue to pursue his God-given gifts at the next level.”
